The problem of lying to your children, is you teach them to lie. Then when you punish them for lying, you really F them up. So congrats on creating a whackadoo.
@respectfulconversation9442 жыл бұрын
Good parents will teach their kids when it is ok to lie and when not.The trick is to learn the difference. If you get punished for any lying in the same way or they teach that all and any lying is always wrong - THAT can mess you up also.
@Widdekuu912 жыл бұрын
As a Pedagogic Worker, I can assure you that lying to kids makes it a lot more difficult for both of you. When they demand information that you seem unsuitable for the moment (where do babies come from?) then you tell them you'll tell the answer at home, because this is not a good place. If they ask it at home, you tell them (in a child-friendly way.) Does a kid ask something that you don't want to share about yourself? (Have you ever punched someone in the face mom? Surely you haven't...right?) you can dodge the question by answering like a politician. ("Oh honey, if it is necessary to protect myself and you, I would punch a mean person in the face, but I surely would not enjoy it and punching is not something that you do, unless you réálly are in danger.') And if the kid is trying to put you on the spot, like saying; 'Mom...do you make enough money to purchase that Actionman for me?' then you say; 'I'd have to check sweetheart, but we're not going to purchase anything today, you know that right? We can't just purchase anything we want, that is irresponsible. Have you already thought what you want for dinner?' And hopefully they accept the bait and talk about dinner.
