And the success of his show is partly due to the fact that he _does_ fill the couch. Most American talk shows today have just one guest at a time, so there's way less banter and interactions. Interactions between guests -- especially when they have wildly different backgrounds, ages, eras, or career stages -- make GN far more entertaining than any counterparts on the other side of the pond.

Graham Nortons show is the best of all the chat shows UK or US because it’s shown after our watershed of 9pm in the UK, so swearing and adult content is never bleeped or censored. It means all the celebs he has on can relax and just be themselves, that’s why he usually gets fantastic banter and stories from all his guests.
