Those devices that Greg is referring to were often called "radio links". The teacher would wear a microphone and transmitter, and the pupil would wear a receiver. This meant the hearing impaired kid could hear the teacher much more clearly. I often experienced things like the teachers going to the toilet, talking to staff members, etc. If you could recognise the squeak of the doors that the teacher was going through, you could warn the other kids in the classroom (who were messing around while the teacher was away) that the teacher was coming, and everyone would be sitting quietly like little angels when the teacher came back into the classroom. :)

Alexander Anderstaf if you can watch the whole episode, Ryan Gosling tells a story earlier about his pet doing the same thing. So that's why this clip is even more hilarious.

Leave it to Graham Norton to have the local flavor guest tell the funniest story during an evening of big Hollywood guests. Davies is brilliant. Graham is even more so. Love this show.

@2:30 the best, and sweetest most genuine thing about this is Greg rubbing his legs at the end of that. He knows who he's sharing a seat with, and even though he's made Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling genuinely crack up with laughter, he's still nervous and conscious about it. It's like, how could you not be. You see these interactions a lot on Graham Norton's show, it's genuinely brilliant.

+Shane Hewson Yeah thats why I think this is the best chat show in UK and US, because most of the US ones are just one guy sitting on a sofa telling stories that they have already rehearsed. This is a bit more spontaneous and you get good interaction between the guests.
@garymcatear8228 жыл бұрын
The Jonathon Ross show has all the guests on the sofa too but he brings them all out one at a time. I do like how the music guests on this show get a spell on the sofa too.
@tigermunky8 жыл бұрын
The problem with Ross is that he never lets the guests actually speak. Half the time he even finishes their sentences. Notice how Graham just sets up the talk and then sits back. He's a much better host.
@southpawboxing42657 жыл бұрын
Shane Hewson - sometimes it's all british guests, especially in the earlier days. But now it's famous in America, I guess they have to have stars that you will know....
@SLOBeachboy7 жыл бұрын
Smooth Flow - Actually, it not at all a matter of “having to have stars we will know”. All talk shows everywhere want to get the biggest stars on their shows that they possibly can, because they know that this is what audiences want. And, simply by virtue of the fact that the USA has the biggest film industry, many of the biggest and most popular mega-stars are also going to be from here (although there are now more Brits in American Movies and TV shows than ever before). So basically the show has always wanted to book these people from day one, but until the show became more established and got more of a following here in the States, it was probably not as easy to book all these American A-list stars. Stars only go on these shows for the exposure and so they tend to pick the shows which give them the greatest exposure.
