Same here, choose celibacy and sobriety almost 2 years now. And it's not a flex and that doesn’t make me better than anyone. It's just a personal choice and what works for me. ❤

I like what you said that we make certain decisions in life not because it's fun like being intentionally single, let's be honest, it gets lonely at times but you look at why you're doing it, to evolve into a better person n be more self aware or whatever other reasons n that's okay. N on this journey, I've learnt, you'll have to make sacrifices every so often if you want to live a more quality life or like Abraham Maslow calls it, self actualize.
@OfficialJanetMbugua18 күн бұрын
I love how you’ve put it. Thank you! It can get lonely, it can be confusing. But ultimately it’s a worthwhile sacrifice because of the clarity that comes with it. Wishing us more grace ❤

wow. Well said. Another anchor to check on is (Romans 12:2) Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship.

You are amazing, and thanks for always speaking up and sharing your opinion. You are definitely well spoken and I am learning from you how to relay thoughts and opinions. That said, society defines us and often puts us in a box whose walls we are often restricted within. You have clearly surpassed those boundaries, yet still face the same sentiment from the society. It is upon us to speak up and challenge this narrative. I am here to learn from you and carry it on ❤

A big admirer of your work and passion for years. The celibacy decision has been making rounds among African American women as well. With due respect, I find the celibacy decision more common with 35+ years women. Why? After giving the youthful years to bad boys, monied men and partying and then somehow women find celibacy and the church? Studies have shown that 80% of women are only interested in 20% of men...nothing personal to your or your situation, promise. The current celibacy movement is not incentivized by any altruistic reason but the reality of the dating marketplace. I come in peace.
@MKPrin7615 күн бұрын
You really wrote all of that when you should have just said that YOU HATE WOMEN! Keep patting yourself on the back for some nonsensical, 'I 'gottcha narrative'. Women have choices and they will continue to excercise them, cry harder!
