I bet you the non-disclosure deal Jim has with AEW is The Elite (and a few other names like Jericho) having creative control. Jericho deep inside is just bitter that he left WWE at the end of his career to attempt Monday Night Wars, version 2.0 and it not working out. Jericho was always vain, he deep inside HATES that he left a comfy WWE part-timer main roster spot just to compete with WWE developmental. And he knows at this point, even if he does come back to WWE, Vince won't treat him as well as he did before. And he knows he won't get that storybook career ending he probably desires. Vince repays loyalty and Jericho was loyal for years and was repaid for that by multiple title runs, main events, creative input into his feuds, extended time off whenever he wanted, etc. And he left, because his one match with Kevin Owens was second from the bottom on a stacked WM card, where AJ was opening, Ambrose was on the pre-show, etc. He didn't focus on the fact WWE allowed him a main event program with creative freedom on RAW for 8 months before that, no. He focused on the fact Vince dared to choose Goldberg/Lesnar over him and Owens because Goldberg drew better ratings. Jericho, plain and simple, fucked himself and at the tail end of his career, he's running around with glorified indie darlings like Sammy Guevara, Orange Cassidy on a program he knows is below what WWE's doing. Now his own work is still good, because he's too proud of his legacy to just phone it in, but he complicated things for himself for sure and that's why he still has some alcohol in his hand and that's why he's occasionally lashing out like this.

While AEW is using their show to be a 2 hour blow job for Jericho's career, New Japan has been killing it with the G1 and ROH is doing a good job with their Pure Tournament. His legendary Undisputed Title reign was him getting HHH's dog run over after pooping on live tv. He didn't even get a proper rematch, it was all about Stephanie vs HHH. He was jobbing to a rookie John Cena few months later. "But the feud with HBK in 2008" it was still around the second show and the second belt in the promotion. I showed the Luther match to a friend of mine who watched a ton of Monday Night Wars. He finished it and the MJF segment afterwards and responded "This is extremely cringe. Why is Jericho so fat now? Why is Ralphus in the ring wrestling him?" He still doesn't believe me that the fighting game community is all in on AEW and that people who "haven't watched in 10 years" are coming back for AEW.

vaguedreams go watch a match Jim Cornette approves. It’s actually good wrestling and looks real . Yes it’s a new time , but everyone knows it’s fake. Now if u continue to make it look even faker like everyone is doing now . Then what real wrestling is will be gone. And this is coming from a middle ground fan . I’m 29 got to see the Monday night wars , the 2000s and the 2010s and my great grandpa was a wrestling fan (so I watched old tape of bruno,Lou , Andre , Verne Gagne). Even early 2000s when everyone dam knew it was fake at least they still make it look real. This shit doesn’t look real !

@@GraveMemories Mate, late 90's wwf was not realistic, certain people had good promo's, and I've watched old school wrestling. It's been the first time in in a long time that I've been actively watching a show without fastforwarding.

The Positiveity Meme Again? Well might as well debut this theory: Anyone think that Chris Jericho's stupid ideas are directly correlated with Dynamite suffering in some way in the Ratings and its fans? I mean first it was Stadium Stampede then it was Chris V.S. Luther in the Main Event for his anniversary. That's like two strikes unless I'm missing something stupid he did earlier. EDIT: 13:31: Try This Explanation I stole from a Review once: 'The Left just cannot accept that people can observe something and come to different conclusions than them, so they must somehow represent them as 'damaged' 'out of touch' or crazy as how they can explain people holding differing views.

Yes yes, we know. We've heard it all a thousand times. The right are *such* free thinkers. Pat yourself on the back some more. That's why so many of you parrot the same talking points and believe every word Donald Trump, the real estate agent, says without question. That's why when scientists tell you things aren't going well, be it global warming, covid or pretty much anything else, you search desperately for any conspiracy theory or doctor without principles to tell you what you want to hear so you can dismiss everything else as some plot by the spooooky and totally real shadow government. The world is on fire, a virus is running rampant, police are and have always been murdering black people in droves, but don't worry, Donald says everything is fine, those are lies by the "evil left" no one is dying and anyone who did die? Well, nothing that could have been done about it. Ask California fire men if everything is okay, ask hospital workers if things are fine, ask the dying, jobless and homeless if the world is just fucking fine and dandy, not the sheltered billionaire who spends all day griping on twitter and watching tv from the fortified mansion and gets his every whim catered to. Who's more likely to lie? Him and the other wealthy people who benefit from him or almost everyone else? There's a lot of white knighting on the internet and almost universally to no end, but when folks like you fight for the Republican party (or, if you happen to not be American, whatver your local national right wing equivalent is) they'd be more than happy to fuck you.

I think what Chris was saying is, if Jim would merely critique rather than destroy, they might have hired him as a consultant, but with the way he does things, he's got too much heat with too many of the wrestlers (and I'm sure Tony Khan himself) to ever get any of them to listen to him. Personally, I would love for Jim to consult for AEW because he wouldn't be scared to speak up. Arn and JR have both said that they just accept the way things are done now. Of course, no one is going to change how many high spots are done and the speed of the matches now, but that doesn't mean you can't speak up about some of the silliness, lack of psychology, and a lot of the just overall bad habits that so many of the green wrestlers have that need to be broken. Jim would have no problem bringing that stuff up to the talent. Can he say it in a way that they'll actually listen to it though is the issue. People now a days don't respond to being called idiots, yelled at, told they're completely awful etc. That worked 30 years ago when it was common. Now it's very rare and people respond to it by just ignoring it or saying "fuck off."
