@eric demoniacx Eh, I want go any further than a meat lover's with bacon, pepperoni and sausage, but honestly Brian's way isn't bad either. A big ole' NY cheese slice with multiple cheeses parmesan, mozzarella etc etc their is some magic to that. In my opinion, a slice of pizza is only as good as the type of dough, cheese, and most importantly sauce that you use. You could load it with as many toppings as you want, if the base is no good, neither is the pizza.

I’ve had my issues about things that Brian has said in the past, but him saying that you should only have cheese on the pizza and no other topping is the straw that broke the camels back. I agree with Corny that you need toppings on Pizza and that Brian is the odd one out preferring the super plain cheese only... but counter-intuitively enough, Brian is right about NYC public drinking world being some of the best in the world, oddly enough. There's pizza makers who lived in NYC and when they moved out they couldn't get their dough quite the same even with the same recipe elsewhere. There's something unique about what they do to NYC water with all the filtration/sanitation stuff.

Being from Alabama, more than any hot dog, I enjoy cooking up some good ole' Conecuh sausage and like Jim says, slathering it with some kind of BBQ sauce. I can tell Brian Last hasn't really lived a day in his life. Now I will agree, bbq sauce on a regular hot dog like a Nathan's just doesn't work the same. For those skinnier longer dogs, you want to smother those in some chili cheese. I will agree with Last on one thing and it would have helped him dearly to bring this point up... You can throw as many toppings on a pizza as you want, but if the base of the pizza( The dough, cheese, and sauce) is garbage, then the entire integrity of the pizza is ruined. I wouldn't just eat cheese pizza all the time, that would be boring, BUT I will say that a good ole' folded over giant slice of NY cheese pizza with multiple cheeses(especially with parmesan and mozzarella) is to DIE for. There's a reason NYers have survied off of a slice for eternity now.

Brian eats at kosher delis which are the worst delis (way behind Hungarian, Balkan, Italian, Polish, french) because of their religious hatred for Porky Pig & his succulent parts. I kinda agree with Brian, anytime I try a new pizza place I order either a plain cheese pizza or half cheese and half toppings. This way you can try just the pizza and tell if the sauce and crust are any good. Its easy to cover meh pizza with pepperoni, sausage, bacon and veggies and make you think its better than it actually is. I also agree with Corny about yellow mustard, its gross.
