Think the same things happening to towns that relied on the auto industry all over not just Australia.
@jasoncarpp77425 жыл бұрын
@@geeclatters6121 I agree. It's been happening here in the USA. Sadly, this has been happening since the early 1980s. I remember hearing on the news about car makers in the USA closing down factories, not only in Detroit, but also in Dearborn, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, wherever cars were being built in the USA, it was happening. So yeah, this song could apply to anywhere in the world. It's sad, but it's true. Whether you work for the auto industry, have family who work for the industry, you are affected by what the auto industry does. 😢

Unfortunately mate it rips places apart. Same thing happened here in Victoria where I live in a small town. We had knitting mills, book printers,Allen's lollies, and other big companies in manufacturing all close within 5 years of each other in the 90's. Nearly 30 years later the place still hasn't recovered

People focus on the political conertations of this track, completely understandable. But there is second layer which is the achohol abuse, mental illness, and the redicule we continue to endure not just locally, but from the interstate 'butt' of the joke. This cheap comedy needs to stop.
