"The Big Push" busking sessions, concerts, and live recordings all are amazing and well worth checking out. The members of "The Big Push" are all independent solo artists who struck up a friendship, moved in together, and formed the band. Ren Gill, Gorran Kendall, and Romain Axisa take turns singing lead vocals at times, except for the drummer Glen Chambers. However, each of the band members is currently focusing on a solo career due to Ren's absence. As a solo artist, he is a folk singer, and his music is reminiscent of 60s folk. I love Gorran's music. In 1976 two days before a free concert Marley put together, Smile Jamaica, to ease tensions around Jamaica leading up to a very heated election between two politicians who weren't afraid to use local gangs as "security", an assassination attempt was made on Marley, he was hit in the arm pretty bad but survived. The best part about this is that it's just short of jazz, he's making it up as he goes. he plays it differently every time. Songs mix, chords, style, even the genre. There are some staples of course, like he always introduces Romain at that same point, and Romain always does a 'solo' there, but it's never the same solo, it's done by ear. Next time you watch it, pay close attention to the band, they have no idea what's coming next, they're just watching Ren and following cues. If you want a quick example, watch the drummer in the very beginning while Ren is doing his intro 'solo'.
