Young 50 is damn near untouchable. You had to be there in the early 2000s to understand fully the impact he had in the game. Skip individual songs and do yourself the favor and react to his first album “get rich or die tryin”, you will not be disappointed

The whole get rich or die tryin album is one of my top 5 front to back “what up gangsta” is hard. The come up of 50 cent and g unit mixtapes early 2000s before he signed with Em, is some of the hungriest hip hop you will ever listen too. I don’t think we will see anything like it again G unit - bad news is my favorite song off their mixtapes
@miked3873 жыл бұрын
Definitely agree 100% rap will definitely never be as great or hit as hard as the lyrics and flow of the 90s and early 2000s!!!

Patiently Waiting is arguably the Best 50 & Em Collaboration out there. It’s not about the lyrics as much as it is about the vibe, the adrenaline,how it encapsulates the Zeitgeist of when they cemented their HIP HOP Dynasty. The production is crazy, the energy is crazy, and everything just melds together in a way few songs do. It might not be as crazy as some other verses, but it has to be Top 5 Em Features Of All Time,just a perfect record for what they were trying to do: Threaten anyone who has/wants to Beef with them by declaring their alliance and crowning themselves The Boogeymen Of Hip Hop. Unfortunately for some, and lucky for us, not everyone got the memo. I would put this up there with Best Friend,Renegade & Medicine Man Etc. just becasue of what it means and the atmosphere it created👊🏽🙌🏽🐐🐐🔥✨💯(Also not to sound like a delusional Stan here, but i think Eminem on purpose didn’t go too crazy on this track, since the whole point was to introduce 50 Cent to the world in this case. I also think it’s the vibe and the context that really makes the track Legendary.)
@michaelfritz87253 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I find it hard to pick between patiently waiting and gatman and robbin the almost horror movie like beat in patiently waiting and the more animated upbeat old-school batman sounding beat in gatman but they both still somehow have a similar vibe to them despite sounding so differently

I was always the quiet kid... When I was in highschool we had a "battle of the beats"... Kinda a battle of the bands for hip-hop & R&B... I wrote a whole original song to this instrumental.. wrote a killer chorus, had a girl with an awesome voice singing the hook (she looked a lot like your girl come to think of it 🤔 ) and i snapped through 4 verses... Honestly I killed that shiiit 🤷🏻♂️🤣🤣 anyone and everyone who was into hip-hop (the whole school) was at this event & from that night on I got a lot more respect from people who had a misconception of me or didn't know me... I wish I could find my book from back then... I only remember the 1st & last verse... That was in 2003 😓 I broke my leg & ankle shortly after that, stopped running track & started racing cars... I think the confidence I gained through that night allowed me to go headstrong into car racing & become a beast instead of being a complete hermit... So... Thanks 50 & EM 🤷🏻♂️

Get Rich or Die Tryin is a top ten all time hiphop album, no cap. You cant imagine how absolutely HUGE that release was. Still to this day, I've never seen that kind of promo. I was in college at the time, and you could not go ANYWHERE(and i lived in Anderson, Indiana at the time, not too far from where yall stay I imagine)without hearing someone bumping "In da Club". I went to spring break in panama city and it was nothing but that song everywhere. That album and release was like nothing ive ever seen. Its a no skip playlist bro, yall should do the qhole thing. Also, do the track before 50 was signed to Shady, ehen nobody knew who he was. Its called "How To Rob". Probably his dopest song he ever made actually lol. He had to change to a more commercial style after he was shot and dropped from his label at the time, Columbia Records I think it was. He even says it in a song, the brains of the G-Unit operation, Lloyd Banks, told him to "switch the style up akd if they hate then let em hate, and watch the money pile up". 50 has a really dope backstory like a superhero lol. Lloyd Banks is a bar heavy guy too, you should check some of his shit. All of G-unit was talented. Tony Yayo wasnt my fav, but Young Bucks solo album was suoer dope too. The beats on it were BANGERS.
