Pietra Assumpção every cast member (apart from the band) have unique outfits. So when the alternates perform they aren’t sharing costumes. And because they cover all the parts they can’t have they’re own versions of say Anne boylen’s dress. There are 3 alternates so that’s an extra 18 dresses. So they have their own dresses or costumes that they can wear for any part 😊

I love this show with all my heart but you know why I love it even more? It's because they treat their ensemble like they're the main cast too. Yesterday it was Court's turn then today Grace and Vicki's. Ugh I can't say enough about this show! Ensemble is basically just the term for everyone in the show but alternates cover different roles but aren't actually on if they aren't on as their cover but they have a specific rota and swings are like alternates just they don't have a specific rota they just 'swing in' if a performer can't do that show so these are alternates for their main characters but swings for the rest. I hope that makes sense but it probably doesn't lol
