You are one of the few people with big student loan debt, who did everything right... Let me recap: You got a degree in high-demand, well paying job. You weren't screwing around.. you got to school, got to work, got the job, got the overtime pay. You decided to move back home based on calculation. You also acknowledged and thanked your parents for letting you stay home for free while you're paying off this debt. You even thanked God for your little Mazda not breaking down all that time. I'm amazed.

This is the wisest young lady I’ve heard on KZbin: solidly standing on her feet with a strong head on her shoulders instead of in the clouds. I’m so happy to hear a sane person speaking about real-life GOOD decisions, prioritization, sacrifice, delayed gratification, and planning effectively for the future. I am 40 years old with $102,000 student loan remaining and paying it now, which is very difficult because about $400 of interest is added monthly!

Thank you so so much! Thankfully I was able to watch and see how my parents went from loads of debt to financially free(using the Dave Ramsey Plan), and it really helped me see how much more peaceful life is without debt, and made that my goal! And man that interest is a real bummer! But I am definitely wishing you the absolute best in your debt free journey!

Thanks for this video! Which banks/companies do you suggest to get private loans for? I need to start applying soon 😩
@nurselifewhit Жыл бұрын
Heyyy! I'm not super well versed on all this but I personally used MEFA (Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority) for my private student loans. It was cool because although I used my mom as my cosigner, we were able to select a loan option where her name falls off of the loan after I make a full year of payments

hey boo, I was wondering what lender you used for ur absn private loans. I am stuck between choosing one for my ABSN program. I will really appreciate if you respond.
@nurselifewhit8 ай бұрын
Heyy girlie! I used MEFA for my private student loans (Massachusetts Educational Finance Authority - that’s just the name, you don’t actually have to live in Massachusetts to use them) My mom found it actually and chose it because they had an option where she could be the cosigner of the loan but after like a full year of payments consistent (or something like that) then her name would come off the loan as cosigner and it would fully just be in my name
@nurselifewhit8 ай бұрын
After I graduated and started working though I actually refinanced the loan through sofi (when interest rates were super low in 2021) and got my new loan with First Tech with like a 2.9% interest rate
@laminjawo5586 Жыл бұрын
Congratulations. I graduated with my bachelor in biochemistry and I don’t think I wanna go to Med school. In your ABSN program, did you maintain a solid GPA throughout nursing school, since it’s accelerated program and information is coming fast at you.
@nurselifewhit Жыл бұрын
Man! I definitely went through a post-grad identity “crisis” too after my first bachelor’s degree and ultimately switched from Physical Therapy to Nursing! My ABSN certainly was fast-paced, but it was actually very manageable since I was not working (and also didn’t really have any other responsibilities outside of myself), so I was able to maintain a pretty decent GPA of 3.75
@laminjawo5586 Жыл бұрын
@@nurselifewhit I’m from NYC. I’m trying to get two jobs and save up before next year Fall. because I just want to focus on my ABSN, it will takes me 16 months to complete. Later in life I’m thinking of going for CRNA oppose to Medical school anesthesiologists.
