You are not the only one that doesn’t know all these things. Your husband to be will understand coz he will know the kind of environment you have grown up in. It’s for him to create a platform for the family to understand what you are able to do and what you are not. For instance, i think for as long as you can pound, you’ll be fine. You can maybe just make sure you go with a kid that can use ongalo so she does the okufifa. Just make it work.

Hi love Firstly, thank you. 1. It is compulsory to cook for the whole house the first time only (unless you are told otherwise), but traditionally you are required to take dinner to the boma(olupale) every single night. Which is basically for your husband but because all the men in the house eat at the boma it becomes food for everyone so its wise to take enough for everyone. 2. Not really, you take along your own pots, iimbale, omalilo, omatiti (iikwatelwa) in general. but most of these you get from your gifts, so you only add what is missing. The only thing you will be provided with will be (iilya nevenda) i was also provided with salt. 3. One girl is the one i got from the house when i went back home to go get my things (they don't let you go alone, you always get a girl to accompany you) and when you return you also come with one from your house to kind of escort you (but she goes back after a few days) but sometimes you can keep her or both, depending on the agreement. I hope these briefly answer your questions. Thinking of making a video to answer some of these questions in more details coz typing isnt really doing them justice.
