This year was one of the most diverse tops in Miss Universe. We had Bolivia, Paraguay, Switzerland, Sweden, Ethiopia, Russia, Denmark and Trinidad and Tobago that currently hardly qualify for Miss Universe.

Well up to this point Trinidad and Tobago won Miss Universe Twice....1977 and 1998...1995 Trinidad place 5th and 1997 Third place....so Trinidad was still doing better than a lot of the bigger nations

But once their country failed to make it to the Top Ten, like the Philippines last year, the Fans kept low profile. The cheers were all pre recorded,the only real cheers are from the crowd favourites(like Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Japan and USA). Those who aren't favourites or fave few fans(or none at all) the producers put in fake screams so that it won't sound so silent🙂.

Although there were a number of surprises here like Argentina, Denmark, Hungary, Sweden, Paraguay, etc., it was still a good group of Semifinalists as major favorites Canada, Switzerland, and Mexico advanced that year alongside other favorites Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, etc. The top 10 was really strong. Would’ve preferred Japan winning but overall a very strong top 10 that year.

Under Trump era, the pageant was 2 hours and everything fit perfectly together. Under IMG, the pageant is 3 hours, so many commercials, announcing the top 15/20 takes an hour, less camera time for the ladies, and everything was rushed.

Miss Colombia she's beautiful. (Is she Family of Shakira ?..) Miss India.. she's really beautiful India, Colombia, Swiss, Bolivia are my favorite in MU 2006. I remember MU 2006 because the talles contestant is Miss Ghana 1.88 cm and Miss Canada 1.86 cm.

this was one edition when the judges got it perfectly right. all the surprise semifinalists stopped at the Top 20, it was a perfect top 10 (probably the best in recent decades), and a most deserving top 5 (though TTO or CAN could switch places with PAR or USA)
