As an American, I was deeply disappointed with Miss USA. The Golden Globe statue represents Hollywood, not the nation or it's people. With all the disgusting scandals that have come out of that town in the last few years, Hollywood is the last thing I personally want used to represent my country. Plus, the Golden Globes is literally a multi hour event in which Hollywood's elite gather together to stroke their egos and on occasion use an acceptance speech to try and lecture the Americans watching about something political. I will say I LOVED Argentina's costume. Simple, yet beautiful and powerful. That's the one that stood out most to me.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Miss Kenya costume, it incorporated the environmental concerns like most other costumes did. Miss Argentina's costume drove the plastic point home quite simply. Miss Nigeria with the masquerade, etc etc. Infact I love all the costumes and watched the entire video without skipping. Well done to all the designers and the contestants for representing your countries and heritages beautifully

Agreed most contestants used the time to showcase their costumes. But some contestants had to forcefully perform for the same time even when not needed and they ended up standing still in the end ☹️
