Fire extinguishers and berths connect in all 4 directions like corridors with ladders so they're very good at replacing them if you want to make a ship as small and cheap as possible. (people travel faster through corridors but that's less important than saving space if you want a tiny ship). For example the stinger mk 2 had I think like 4 corridors with ladders, a crew quarters AND a fire point and considering how small the ship is, those changes would increase the service ceiling by a huge amount.

I had a great time building what I called the SUPER MASSIVE BOMBER! It rained down hell on anyone dumb enough to get below it! Super expensive but combined with a fleet it just melts them like butter. Always have one in my flag ship fleet. But pro tip don't put all your money into one ship or your gonna cry.

I did that. To my surprise, it worked because i made it a landship designed to destroy those pillar buildings. Basically, my grandwall on wheels. And then there's the Steel Rain... basically ever firing gatling guns. A lot of them. and they're surprisingly cheap (over 2000)

Create a carrier or some kind of flying battleship with a hangar deck to launch small attack craft from. Would really even the odds with a sneaky boi hiding up your bum.

You gotta remember he's playing on the easiest difficulty. He needs to have ships that fill roles. Not just one expensive ship that does nothing super good and a waste of money ships.

Cannons are amazing for range. So all build a couple ships with four imperial cannons and have smaller gun ships as escorts for them. Then have my bombers fly above an fuck em.
