One detail I like is that even though Spot at this time is an incompetent villain that doesn’t know how to use his powers and can’t be taken seriously he causes Miles Spider Sense to go off foreshadowing that he is still a dangerous threat. We see that later in the movie after he absorbs the dark matter from the collider sequence and threatens to take away everything from Miles

Miles was always meant to be a Spiderman variant, its just happen to bite the wrong Miles that meant to be the Prowler. So they switched places. Thats what the writers are hinting at by calling him an anomaly, and why Miguel is right for the wrong reasons. :TLDR - Spider bit the wrong Miles.This Spider-Man Miles is the anomaly for that reason.

In all honesty, spot isn’t really Miles’s nemesis. He may have threatened to kill his dad but that would only happen if he let him die. The real nemesis is Miguel O’Hara and his followers as he goes out of his way just to let an innocent man die and he turned all of Miles’s friends against him by revealing that he was the one who began everything and that he is dangerous
