The scene shows the acting talent of Tom Holland. I loved how after May said the famous iconic line, Peter is looking at her with strong emotion, remorse, and maybe a little hope. It painted the scenario that he remembered that's what Uncle Ben said to him and the fact he is hearing it from her brought that memory back. Same moment when Peter II spoke the quote and MCU's Peter had a shocked look on his face. It's those subtle facial expressions that Tom Holland uses in order to capture the necessary emotion making it more powerful.

When I first saw this movie in theaters, I didn't actually cry when May died, but I felt so sorry for Peter nonetheless. And the reason why I didn't cry over May's death was because I was "talked-down" by my mom and my healthcare advocate over money issues a week before this movie came out, which made me very upset.
