I remember watching this live in 2007 when I was just 14 years old and I fell in love with the sport after watching this. After 9 years I've just watched it again and it reminded me of why I love darts. Best comeback ever!

Sorry if my english is not correct. I am dutch and what i like to say is, in 2006 was the BDO the biggest darts organisatie, with the best players in the world, exept Phil Taylor ofcourse. But the moment that Raymond van Barneveld left the BDO for the PDC it was just a view years that players like Simon Withlock,Gary Anderson,Mark Webster,Mervyn King and a lots of more came to the PDC.Biggest reasson was because of the mony. But what i mean to say is when Barny came to PDC, the sport is more populair then before. Raymond thanxx for this!!!! And Raymond if you mental gonna be like 10 years ago, 100% you will be nr 1 again. Because you are the most talentfull dartsplayers on the planet. .

Rob Robberson yeah That was in Sane but he.s getting older and his energy Level drops more often because of his age, and because the crowd aren.t That symphatic to the players anymore the whole game thrue. you see it already at the celebration at the end if you compare That to the celebration he had against loyd in the second round he had far more energy there. if u saw him play against huybrechts 2 weeks ago he didn.t have any energy if he can Find a steady energy Level again like on the world championships he can definely win a major again.

Tim Ockeloen Yeah that's kind of the problem, I think. To him it's all about the wc. That's why he's still going, to be the champ again, that's the pressure he puts on himself all year. He has less focus and energy in other tournaments, even though he still does well sometimes.

Phil Taylor was the one who started it making the pdo big, van Barneveld did help, but he was never the player Phill was, especially mentally. It's for the best he quits.

i mind watching this live it was the best final i ever watched back then when taylor got beat it was so speical and ment something but nowadays it doesnt mean anything which is such a shame coz taylor is the greatest player ever to pick up a dart

Taylor thought Barney was running scared of him until he came to the pdc and went away with the trophy Taylor has never respected Barney always says he does but behind the scenes he doesn’t

Barney hit an insanely high purple patch after that. He kept it up and averaged over a 100 or close most the sets.
