The best Tour in sports keeps on delivering. The Euro Tour hardly ever disappoints and once again we see an amazing story here in Riesa. There were so many good matches and performances throughout the weekend. The coldest moment was definitely Gezzy taking out 161 after Ross Smith decided to set up his own 161. At that point and the comeback Price made there it looked like hes invincible in Riesa but Martin Schindler take a bow. What a fantastic weekend for him to take his first senior PDC title and when i met him last year i told him ive watched u improve from 2022 to 2023 and i feel like the way ur going ur gonna win some tournaments and he said i hope so and now hes won his first one in front of his home crowd. The raw emotion when he hit that D16 was so nice to see. These r the moments that makes sport so special and i am very happy for him. To top it off hes also now become Germanys number 1. I cant wait for next weekend already for the next Euro Tour.

For me personally he's been Germanys #1 for at least 2 years now, maybe even 4. Even if the Order of Merit and the overall results say otherwise I felt he's the one of the german players who can realistically make his way into the top 10 and able to constantly beat top players on his own strenght and not because they mess up. But let's be honest, at least the world top 200 are all unbelievably good dart players, so it's really hard to compare.

@@BlueHopi144 There are 128 Tour Card holders, also there are about 30-50 people with Averages in the high 90s or even above 100 who didn't make it to the tour. I don't say those players are constantly that good, but their peak performances are insane.

This tournament was packed. All the semi-finalists had it in them to win this thing. Dobey played well, Bunting and Price had one of the best matches, both playing well too and Martin played phenomenally. Good shit to all of them and a well deserved win for Martin Schindler.

Schindler was strong throughout and although the final was closer after 5-4 he never looked like faltering and didn’t have many treble-less visits either. Unusually for Price his first date often went just under the wire on occasions which hampered him although he did score well too.

So happy Schindler finally got over the line and won! He's been knocking on the door for years now. If Price only took out that leg to level it at 5-5 instead of 6-4, after Schindler missed a bunch of darts that really could have been pivotal. We've seen before in the past moments like that affect Schindler and he goes on to lose, but a bit of luck this time round to help and he finally managed to get the win! The guy hits trebles for absolute fun, so hopefully now the monkey is off his back he will win more! Well done Martin Schindler!
