The obsession with averages has ruined the game a lot for me. They make it like averaging below 95 means they've played poorly, yet most professionals season average is around 90-95. It's ma infested itself at lower levels of the game as well. Even on twitch dart streams where players are averaging 45 it is being mentioned. It's borderline insane.

I think Mensur is one of the worst opponents for MVG due to his playing speed. When playing a slower player, it gives too much time in-between throws to let a bad round fester (get in his head). When your opponent throws faster, you're back at the oche faster and not dwelling on your last 3 throws. Seems like MVG plays the best when he's playing against equally fast rhythm throwers. The old Adrian Lewis/MVG matches were some of my favorite.

Too bad Suljovic won't ever get himself out of the rank he's gotten himself in. 56. It's not surprising anymore to win against MVG when he kind of likes to trip over himself from time to time, like yeah we know he's world number 2 and got all of these titles over the years. But he's made himself vulnerable and it's not surprising that some odd player gets the better of him. And oh wow, in all of the 12 matches MVG has been in against Suljovic, this is only his 2nd time winning. Mensur will find himself in a quick outing after this. He's just one of those players, similar to Dave Chisnall, who just can't get it all together enough to win the big one that matters. Despite how well you think he played in one match, he'll mess up somewhere.
