I volunteered to chalk for MvG during a PCT event in 2010 and I must say it was extremely difficult. Hats off to the chalker as it's a really hard and stressful job. I couldn't keep up so was relieved of the duties.

What people don't realise is that this guy has to chalk both players, add up the score and take it from the total. On TV you have 2 chalkers, 1 for each player. That is much easier.

Just add it as each dart goes in, write down the score on the board and work out the final figure at the same time, I'm known for being insanely fast at chalking but shame my darts are rubbish haha

He might have noticed it as he was walking back, in which case he was probably waiting until his next turn to bring it up(because Adrian was already throwing it wouldn't be very nice to suddenly start talking during Adrian's throw). But Adrian finished the leg so no point in bringing it up anymore when he got back to the oche.
