I’ve got all respect for Van Gerwen and all he’s done in the sport. He has every right to celebrate and show emotion to assert dominance on stage. As long as he’s not getting in the opponents face I don’t see the problem. Well done to MVG on showing the world he’s still got it.

MvG celebrates his own successes, not his opponent's failures and that's a big difference. I don't think it's meant to "assert dominance", but just that he is his own harshest critic and thus genuinely happy when he rises to the occasion. He thrives on big confrontations and being put to the test, that's when he usually plays his best darts and when his opponents play their best darts.

I sort of feel like now celebration tactics are becoming a part of the sport of darts. As Gary Anderson says, go up on stage and beat your opponent with the darts in your hand. Not by being the biggest celebrator. But to be honest it does show a different side to the sport of darts and will hopefully attract more of a wide audience to the sport!

Peter Wright coming up clutch and coming from behind again! Jonny Clayton did not know what hit him. That 161 was so sweet! Dimitri and James have drawn for the third time in a row. (If you include Dimitri's contender appearance in 2019 that is.) I guess I kinda expected that result. Dimitri had some good checkouts but seems to missing quite a few doubles at the moment... and you can't do that against James Wade. Gary and Nathan had an alright game... Pendulum kept swinging back and forth so to speak... fun to watch but not the highest quality. Michael and Jose had a decent one. Jose just missing the chance to salvage a point, and I would imagine that's Michael cemented at the top of the league for the 8th time. So we know that Michael, Nathan and Jose have secured places in the playoffs, but who will join them? Dimitri or Jonny? My prediction is Dimitri but let me know what you guys think. Either way, do not miss that match between those two. And just to be clear: Dimitri must win or he's out. Jonny has the advantage in terms of leg difference so 1 point would be enough for Jonny.
