Side note: That Blade 6 is looking like a thing of beauty up there. Kudos to Winmau. I have one and it's a gem to play on. I wasn't a huge fan of the Blade 5 (it wasn't terrible, just a little overrated) but the 6 is a great return to form for Winmau.

MVG is so good to watch when he's on. Seems to struggle with his doubles when put under pressure and I'm not sure he really had anyone pressure him tonight. But, if he's got that part of his game sorted, watch out!

Not a hater but a lucky spell for MVG that he really needed hopefully gives him some confidence back, Wright was a long long way off throwing his best in that match yet still kept up only just losing each leg with finishing doubles insight. I don't see the old MVG at all here like I say not a hater but the days of MVG dominating are long gone because the pool of talent in the pdc is so good that its less predictable and on the right night most of the top players are all capable of doing the same thing.

Premier league is not a ranking event. Hes been brilliant in recent tournaments, but his world championship winnings drop off at the end of the year, so its almost impossible to hold wright off. Unless he wins it again of course!
