As an engineer gotta give it to ya, great simple clean chain that’ll produce good masters man. Good stuff. Really

Just found your channel, so much great content! Would be interesting to see how you do leveling of all elements of a beat, like how loud do you usually mix hats, kick etc. And how loud you are hitting the masterbus and this chain you just showed.

If you lower the range to zero on the glue compressor it won’t engage any compression, but I also prefer saturator for the color

Yeah I figured that one out way too late lol! I go back and forth but I think I am starting to like the glue compressor more again. I actually use a couple of clipping plugins that I really like now too.

Whoa you were almost hitting -14 before the drums were even in! Are you running a bunch of limiting or clipping on individual tracks? I only WISH I could hit -8 without getting serious distortion
@kylechumchal2 жыл бұрын
Im not doing much on the individual tracks mostly just leveling and EQ. No limiting except on the master and the only thing I would be clipping besides the master is potentially the 808. A lot of loudness is in the sound selection and design.
