question doesn't even make sense. the obvious answer would be the power play before the injury. i heard a guy yesterday in the presser ask McLellan something like "i know you haven't been here for long but what are your thoughts on the steps Raymond has taken this year from last year." something like that, the actual way he phrased it was even worse than that.

when it started Kane was 'day to day'. they just put him on IR retroactive to 6 days ago, IR is a 7 day thing. now Todd says he was "skating a bit, so that's great" making it seem like it's something serious and lower body. NHL injury hiding is a tedious business that causes more trouble than it solves. if it's an injury a guy will be playing with, by all means hide it so no one targets it. if it's something that will be fine before he plays again, why not just say what it is.

I think Mo or Razor will wear the C within a few years. Larkin is not a bad captain and he was the best option when selected. When Mo had his (and Talbot's) mishap at 2-0 goal, Razor just put in over drive , determined to fix that game and he did, ending with a four point night. That's leadership. But a letter on the jersey isn't that important, winning is.

i've seen positive signs from Lucas as the year has gone on but i also remember the kid who threw a tantrum on the bench game 2 or 3 of the season bc he wasn't playing w Larkin. a trainer was shown on TV coming over and consoling him to calm him down, and right after that Lalonde started giving him Larkin again even tho the game (vs Nashville) had been well controlled by Detroit. the line shuffling gave Nashville all momentum the rest of the game. but Lalonde still did it, bc Lucas acted out.
