Free and The Faces are 2 of my favorite British blues acts,though they go well beyond blues. Something about their facility with a slow song,that smoldering quality

That is something I definitely would never do 😲💫 So therefore, I'm giving these gentlemen a lot of credit, for getting on stage singing and playing an instrument in order to make others happy. It seems like every step that all you took brought you closer to fame . Missing you Ronnie Lane 🙏✝️

They always had fun on stage- everyone smiling. One of the best bands ever. to bad they went from bad to ruin. Pun intended.what could have been if ronnie had not left the group.

Ron Wood was a star until he became a rolling stone. Then he became a studio musician.

Who is playing acoustic on "Sweet Lady Mary"?
@JumpinJAKEFlash2 жыл бұрын
A fantastic yet severely underrated rock n roll band.
@bonesbginnis3 жыл бұрын
When I was watching Sweet Lady Mary I noticed that there was acoustic guitar and electric guitar overdubbed on these recordings. So these are definitely not true live recordings. When Ron Wood picks up his guitar after the pedal steel solo listen to all the acoustic guitar That has been going throughout the song, and steel fills that are still going. I wish they would never do that as this band always sounded great just stripped down to the bare elements.

If you check out many BBC recordings, you will find they're not truly "live". They had to pre record a live version before the show, then play along, or even mime to it. It was something to do with union rules, you can often see the instruments are not even plugged in.
@TheRedSphinx Жыл бұрын
Typical of the era, no artist or band ever played live on the BBC. A recorded backing track with live vocals was the norm. The only bands that did play live of the top of my head were The Who in 1973 and Iron Maiden in 1981.

These guys could have been much better. I always prefer the rockin' out numbers to the "crooning" numbers.
