A kid born in that year will already be a middle aged (aka OLD) adult by now. Just an indication how long ago it already is. But GREAT music never gets old😉😁

What a total treat to see footage of these geniuses in somewhat raw footage! And that’s harmony, not singing off tune, in my humble opinion! BABY, I’m amazed!

I saw them 5 times in the 70s including this tour in 1970,2 times A nod is as good to a blind horse tour in different cities in smaller venues where Rod kicked balls into the audience, in 1975 I saw the show without Ron Wood those shows were his best shows in my opinion

This brings back such memories… I saw them play in SF around this time. I had such a crush on Ron Wood & my friend was in love with Rod Stewart (with his brown hair). Such a great band. I wasn’t a fan of “Disco Rod”, but I’m more of a blues fan.

Great Footage, Thank you for sharing. I’m Convinced that if These members of the Faces would have stayed together they would’ve been just as big or Bigger than The Rolling Stones. The Faces are rooted more in The Blues, and it was just them. The Stones in the other hand always need Additional members to give them that feel.✌️

What a great vintage reel! It was Rod's raspy voice and his song writing that made me a huge fan. Is this the same FACES (The Small Faces) that recorded Itchy-koo Park without Rod? Ok, so did a bit of research and found that Ronnie Laine was of The Small Faces. Interesting that Steve Marriot was a member and went onto Humble Pie.
@Maltloaflegrande7 ай бұрын
The Small Faces were Lane, McLagan and Jones from this performance fronted by Steve Marriott on lead vocals and guitar. At just over 5'5", Lane was the tallest hence the name ("Face" was the standard greeting between mods, the movement the band came out of). When Marriott quit, they replaced him with Wood and Stewart and because the new arrivals clocked in at 5'9" and 5'10" respectively, the"Small" bit got dropped from the name.

Rod is showing a lot of soul here, he didn't care about perfection, putting expression on top of everything. I really love that (and everybody else in the band as well).

Absolutely. Went to a Faces concert in '74. Good as Rod Stewart was Ron Wood stole the show for me., Was down the front elbows on the stage in front of Rod but moved over to where Ron was to check him out close up. Never forget especially him kinda laughing, very close face to face, when he must've noticed the jaw dropping stunned look on my face. 😆🤩

You have obviously never been to the Marquee Club. There is no room for cameras to be anywhere else. It was a tiny place, but the birth and launching pad for so many great bands.
