For repairs. Not sure about other reservoirs but the Palisades was dependent on the Saint Ynez Reservoir, which was CLOSED and EMPTIED. Thats 117 M gallons of water that was out of the system and which caused pressure to fall across the system. Please get the word out bc this is being ignored.

We hire officials and pay our taxes for said officials to do their job! When the officials are too busy with DEI protocol than experience, there is a problem! When you empty a reservoir for repairs at the height of fire danger, there is a problem! When you don't allow brush to be cut due to environmentalism, there is a problem! When you don't prioritize and set funding for capturing rainwater or pumping in Ocean water, there is a problem! And per this one as I read here if true, when you don't engineer FIRE pumps so that they don't malfunction under HEAT, there is a problem! When you are an official overseeing the safety and well-being of 9.6M+ people along with their property and pets and don't do what is necessary, there is a problem.

One of the spokesmen said the fire he was referring to was a natural disaster. That would mean it started by a natural occurring event like lightning. All the weather experts have already stated that there were no lightening events at the time any of these fires started. And if it was a utility company power line as a cause, by law, all utility companies must report on itself if one of their own lines was at fault. To date, no utility companies have come forward to report to that being a possibility.

Northern California here, The red part, the blue collar part, the part in the woods where city folk don't venture, not even the gangs. Now over and over again our recreational reservoirs, for fishing, hunting and boating are drained . Because Socal and the Bay area cannot manage them selves.. As a volunteer firefighter, everyone across the country is talking about it. Most of us would fly out to LA on a moment's notice, but the NATIONAL fire resource dispatch system can only pull in so many resources at a time. Right now they ARE pulling hundreds of firefighters and resources from neighboring states. It's all about money. Each large wildfire is usually managed by the Federal government and they use federal funding to "order" more resources, but THIS fire is different. CAL Fire is a huge organization and usually they have enough funding to use their own state leadership. So their ability to afford huge amounts of resources is a little different than the federal government.

Early on the winds were so high that aircraft could not fly. When the winds subside it is easier and safer to get at the fires. Too many people just want to lay blame on people rather than look at the realities of the situation.

They never ran out of water; the system was unable to keep up the water pressure and the water they had wasn't flowing fast enough to keep up with the demand in some areas, especially in the hills. The problem is water pressure. How do you get massive amounts of water at sea level into the hills above sea level? They have water; the issue is and was water pressure. They used so much water at once they the pressure dropped and water wasn't able to flow fast enough. The system was bottlenecked by factors other than water supply. You're offering solutions like you know better than people actually in the situation. You don't.

I think it’s time for all of the insurance companies to be investigated. It seems they pick and choose what they’re willing to gamble on. This is not Insurance and how can they just deny people insurance like this.
