What's fascinating to me is when certain talents come out in people that they didn't know that they had. In Sammy, its a kind of talent that would be unwanted and alien to him in his former life. You kept secrets. You stayed in the backround. If you did talk, you lied and conned. Like he told Diane Sawyer in that interview decades ago. Talk about a major irony that he's good at telling stories, when his entire life was totally against doing just that, lol.

The Chin, I also read, (I'm an amateur Cosa Nostra buff) was "more than happy" for the Gambinos to get called the "most powerful family in NYC" in all the papers and tabloids, as it took a lil heat off the Genovese Family, ya know? Yeah... After Gambino's death, the Genovese immediately started making moves, in places like Philly & Atlantic City, to grab the power. And they certainly succeeded! Ty for your comment. Hello Sammy, great stories as always! I think my biggest question about you in some ways is why choose this life at all? To an outsider it seems frankly terrifying. Living from day to day not knowing if you are being marked for death, perhaps for something that you did not do, or just for a simple mistake or misunderstanding. In addition, I've wondered if you were ever tempted to "cash in your chips" and leave the life - you seemed to be doing very well in legitimate businesses like construction and I've wondered if you were tempted to go legitimate. Or maybe that would have itself resulted in a contract on you?

They got sentenced in late -89, maybe september...? But they might have been locked away till earlier that year, waiting for trial. There were some murders in the indictmen.

@@joonaslehtonen7965 Yes, it was September 14, 1989 that these due animale Anthony Senter and Joseph Testa, the infamous Gemini Twins, named after Gambino Capo Roy DeMao's Gemini Lounge, a notorious Brooklyn Bucket of Blood and the uu Coldwater RailRoad Flat just behind and above the bar where two committed many of thier Murders. After wacking out their boss DeMao, who was no figa when in came to murder, having been credited in 37 murders on his own. His associates believe the number to bemore than 56. The Gemini Twins were so sought by members of Cosa Nostrand in having victims pull a Houdini and disappear forever after entering the killing floor of that Brooklyn Apartment. In reality. They were strangled, stabbed in the heart,, and bled out in the bathtub. Afterward, after being schooled in the art of butchery by DeMao who learned the trade in Prison, the victims were cut up on a pool liner and various. Pieces ended up in a Flatbush Garbage on Fountain Avenue. This was dubbed THE GEMINI METHOD by DeMao. The two men were transfered tothe Lucchese Crime Family; where in 1989 both were sentenced to life in prison for racketeering and 10 counts of murder.

Gaspipe really went to town on Gotti's circle after the Castellano murder. Would love to hear more stories about chin. For example your opinion on him going on about not shooting a boss when he tried to do the same thing.

As for living that type of life...When does anyone have any chance to relax,lower their radars,not looking over their shoulder???- NEVER. IT'S either the cops,or your OWN PEOPLE looking to have your head on a platter to further gain.THAT !- Is no way to go,living life in constant fear of arrest,betrayal and death.The short-lived gain,is NOT WORTH the overall repercussions that comes with it-

@seansavage25183 жыл бұрын
@@farzana6676 Yes i'm sure Sammy said in total there were 7 guys around Gotti killed after Castellano. I saw in another thread that Casso had the 'mafia cops' trying to get Sammy too, not sure how true that was. It's maybe why Sammy is taking part in the new documentary about them. Ironic though that Chin wanted the rules followed when he was the last guy to shoot a boss.
@lehampton13 жыл бұрын
@@seansavage2518 actually Genovese and Gambino took out Anastasia after the Costello hit. But you’re right, the Chin hit a boss without Comission approval but wanted Gotti dead for the same thing? That’s the treachery of the life they chose. That’s Cosa Nostra to the core!
