I swear Sammy "the bull" Gravano is a revelation in the art of story telling. The man never disappoints in his ability to transport us to the underworld of another time and place and he does it with the story telling skills of a master and an innate ability one can only be born with. What's fascinating to me is when certain talents come out in people that they didn't know that they had. In Sammy, its a kind of talent that would be unwanted and alien to him in his former life. You kept secrets. You stayed in the backround. If you did talk, you lied and conned. Like he told Diane Sawyer in that interview decades ago. Talk about a major irony that he's good at telling stories, when his entire life was totally against doing just that, lol.

I hung out in Bobby's social club here in Downtown brooklyn back in the late 80 s early 90 s I was in my late teens when I got close to Bobby ,he was a great guy and kept the neighborhood safe ,we had a crew of about 20 guys that hung out in the club on Sackett st , Bobby would take us out to eat sometimes ,he got some of the guys jobs in construction or private sanitation , Bobby took a liking to me and even more so after he saw how I handled a certain situation I won't get into , the last time I saw Bobby and spoke to him was at my father's wake just a few weeks before he was killed on April 13 th 1991 ,I was 21 at time and he gave me his phone number and told me from now on call me direct you don't have to ask so and so in the club to call me if you need me ,. I was very loyal to Bobby and loosing him still hurts to this day .

Gigante & the Genovese Family was ALWAYS stronger after Carlo Gambino's death. Always. Sammy has said it at least once on the 'net,' & John Alite, a low-level associate of Junior Gotti's crew for a couple of years, has said it a couple different times.

@@farzana6676 Indeed! I caught that, too! Even when Gotti was the "official" chairman of the Commission, the Chin was the "unofficial" chairman, not wanting the formal title, but everyone knew who really ran shit! The Chin, I also read, (I'm an amateur Cosa Nostra buff) was "more than happy" for the Gambinos to get called the "most powerful family in NYC" in all the papers and tabloids, as it took a lil heat off the Genovese Family, ya know? Yeah... After Gambino's death, the Genovese immediately started making moves, in places like Philly & Atlantic City, to grab the power. And they certainly succeeded! Ty for your comment. I appreciate someone who knows their stuff💯

@@HILAL19564 Gaspipe was sharp. He turned down the "boss" title from Tony Corallo, and he let Vic Amuso have it, Gaspipe settling for underboss. In reality, Casso was really calling the shots, while Amuso was the lightning rod for the cops! Very sharp, indeed.

SAMMY... I know you get all kinds of requests probably many off the wall, but could you talk a little about Anthony Rampino? He and my oldest brother were close friends (NOT in the life we were Bensonhurst then later Ozone Park mics). We were very sad to hear when Anthony died. Anthony had that problem, but was a real friend. Thanks man. Keep swinging.

Lol… having grown up in Providence I know what you mean. As a pre teen living in Johnston I lived next door to a made guy who was away on gun charges. I hung out with his daughter who was my age. We rode motorcycles together believe it or not.🤣 I’ve always wondered if growing up here fed my fascination with the mob.🤷‍♂️😊👍

What I like about his stories is that he actually is humble and shows a bit of humility. Only people that are capable and truly confident of their abilities are able to do that . They usually become the most endeared and respected leaders in whatever profession they choose in life. You remember them as followers because they were real and made a substantial impression in your life... thanks Sammy!

Hello Sammy, great stories as always! I think my biggest question about you in some ways is why choose this life at all? To an outsider it seems frankly terrifying. Living from day to day not knowing if you are being marked for death, perhaps for something that you did not do, or just for a simple mistake or misunderstanding. In addition, I've wondered if you were ever tempted to "cash in your chips" and leave the life - you seemed to be doing very well in legitimate businesses like construction and I've wondered if you were tempted to go legitimate. Or maybe that would have itself resulted in a contract on you?

The Gemini Twins were so sought by members of Cosa Nostrand in having victims pull a Houdini and disappear forever after entering the killing floor of that Brooklyn Apartment. In reality. They were strangled, stabbed in the heart,, and bled out in the bathtub. Afterward, after being schooled in the art of butchery by DeMao who learned the trade in Prison, the victims were cut up on a pool liner and various. Pieces ended up in a Flatbush Garbage on Fountain Avenue. This was dubbed THE GEMINI METHOD by DeMao. The two men were transfered tothe Lucchese Crime Family; where in 1989 both were sentenced to life in prison for racketeering and 10 counts of murder.

I saw in another thread that Casso had the 'mafia cops' trying to get Sammy too, not sure how true that was. It's maybe why Sammy is taking part in the new documentary about them. Ironic though that Chin wanted the rules followed when he was the last guy to shoot a boss.
