Mr. Gravano: My late paternal grandfather was an "acquaintance" of the late Carlos Marcello and the members of the New Orleans organization. He wasn't a made man, and I wouldn't even call him a soldier or an associate. He just periodically did favors for the organization as far as I know. I do know that Mr. Marcello would travel to my home town frequently to play in a poker game with my grandfather, my maternal great-grandfather, and a few others. This was in no way considered to be "odd" or "exciting" or "flirting with danger." Don Marcello acted as any other businessman would act in public. It is refreshing to hear you frequently describe "the way things were supposed to be done." There was a code and I was raised to follow that code even though I had no affiliation whatsoever and wasn't even aware of it until much later in life. I do not condone much of what you did or what the various families did...that's not my place anyway. But living by that code and being considered an honorable man by everyone has served me quite well throughout my life. If you are even in Baton Rouge I would like to buy you coffee since I know you don't drink.

I have a very good memory , I’m 20 years younger than Sammy. I remember a lot but certainly not all the rock concerts I attended in the 80’s etc. I remember certain events in the past, but not the minute details. Phenomenal, I have the utmost respect for this man. My father did 17 years of a 20 year sentence, convicted on the testimony of a cooperating witness. He was innocent and wasn’t even in the US at that time. He was set up by Federal prosecutors’ and their “witness” was the one who actually committed the crime. His trial was a railroad job from start to finish. There are different levels of cooperation, none are good, but I think there is a lot of people out there who don’t understand what snitching is.. There’s a difference between filing a police report if your car is stolen to being arrested and setting up your friends to save yourself. I used to hate this man but I made that judgement without hearing his side of the story. Now I’m grateful because I’ve changed my way of thinking and my life is better for it.

It's not that hard to make a tattoo gun out of just about anything as long as you use something similar to a needle.. You can even use a sharpened paperclip as a needle point.. Ink can be made out of many things, from using a snuggle pen to taking ashes and hair oil smuggled from the Barbara shop and for color you would use melted jolly ranchers candies by melting it down.. You can make a tattoo gun out of Anything. Even using something so simple as a needle, paperclip, staple, nail and you wrap thread around near the point, dip it in the ink and do it 1 poke at a time.. Hurts like hell but it does work but of course if you get caught with any of that stuff well then you get put on disciplinary charges which can mean the hole.. I have 3 tattoos.. 2 done by the Hells Angels Outlaw Biker Club and the 3rd was well let's just say homemade.. Oh and the motor can be made from camera's, old walkmans, radios, basically Anything that has a motor but if you can't find anything with a motor like I said, go back to basics
