Man! The energy from the crowd at this gig is insane! Rossi says he looks back at this gig with embarrassment as they were coked off their heads. Still a stellar live performance from the lads I say! As someone who wasn't around to see them in their 70s/80s hey-day, eternally grateful got the chance to see the Frantic Four reunion back in 2013. Long live the mighty Quo!!!
@geoffpoole483 Жыл бұрын
Rossi described Quo as a "BOS band" (Bums On Seats). A very popular live act and for good reason. One of those acts with an ability to connect with its audience with little difficulty. I can't remember the year but they played a pub in Ipswich at a time when they'd sell out the local concert hall within hours. I'm not sure if the pub gig was a one-off or part of a tour of similar venues. People take the piss out of Quo for not being virtuosos although they never claimed to be, but a Quo gig was a great night out.

Just wish I'd got to see them live when Rick Parfitt {and Alan Lancaster - but I'd have been a bit young when he quit} were still there. Btw, I've into a few gigs there for free cos a mate organises some work for them at times, and there were hardly any people filming on phones last night when there's often loads. My wife was working there for our mate yesterday and having never taken a selfie in her life before, she took one of her and Francis Rossi and sent it to me. As a kid I lived not far from where Rossi grew up - mum and dad pointed out the house loads of times when we drove from Coulsdon past Purley.
