Steven furtick I've heard you talk about the story of David and goliath on many many many occasion's And you always mention about a Slingshot I'm just wondering if you've ever heard that it was not actually a sling shot that David used its what they called a sling. They are actually totally different weapons a sling is way more powerful than a sling shot and as powerful as a bullet being fired out of a pistol. A sling Is a weapon that holds a stone or what have you in a pouch and had a long string that u hold and start swinging it around and around and faster and faster till the momentum builds and u let the stone fly towards the target when ready. Slings are very hard to use but when trained in them they can be extremely accurate and very deadly indeed. I just wondered pastor Furtick if you had known this? Also I love your sermons. You have helped me through so much and I'm so grateful for God putting you in my life when I needed the most. Thanks for all you do. God bless you and your family.

My faith is falling apart and I don't know where to turn. I'm at the point where I have been doing everything right. Praising Him for the good AND bad... getting involved and helping others, regular tithing and giving, volunteered time......no matter what I do nothing changes. This is a good message I’ve spent my entirety to just try to be the peacekeeper in our much smaller family now but then...but then..but then..long ago wasn’t.I still feel at times that I’ve been stuck because of my love for all of them.My parents getting older and I’m the one sister that is always right there with them when illnesses come.Ive raised my 4children now have grandchildren been hurt by the ones I raised literally in my own..I stay and now watch one of my grand babies and love and appreciate the fullness of love I’m able to give her like I haven’t been to to my others.A many a times it gets lonely even with an awesome now tho we went through things but forgiveness has always been my way.I still wonder tho at times...since like my sister has been able to have lots of friends go places and what not in another state as my parents raised her first son and now her grandson.So I do face anger and confusion of how I lived such a traumatic life and some...yet the good part is this past several years I’ve felt peace in knowing that I am who I am and God loves me anyways.But you do tend to question “Why am I carrying all the weight of interceding and looking after and going through things from the ones I loved now..do they not see I’m the one by the Grace if God that’s been keeping or trying everyone together at least every Holiday..?”But it’s who we are it’s what we do...the most precious gift is Love if there is nothing else in the World that is more important it’s to love and never give up Hope.Amen✨✨✨🕊🕊🕊✌️✌️

Steven sir, I'm Totally with you, but... it wasn't simply the Brothers who didn't call David into the house when Samuel came calling. It was Also the FATHER (Jesse) who didn't do that. Again, Not just the brothers. David was obedient... ... because he was Used to being that way - it was a kind of ... survival. Jesse...... . was Not a great father.... and so David did not HAVE a good experience as "a Son". And the Brothers did not Either, because they would not have copped-an-Attitude against David, their brother, otherwise. Their "attitude" was bad AlReady, LONG before the anointing. Then when David WAS anointed... you hear "...those few sheep". David was USED to this sort of "dismissive" behaviour. It is Why He was SUCH an excellent excellent EXCELLENT son of God in type and foreshadowing. His "thrown" had really Nothing to do with Crowns and Regalia - (I know you know this, I'm just saying). Samuel knew who to appoint... He appointed the one who was ALREADY a king. & Praise God!!!!!!!!! Because "Never will He EVER leave us or forsake us" - He's right here with me Now - and Helping - and Teaching - and Leading - and Blessing - (now I'm rambling, but ... anyway, yeah).

David was looking for the opportunity for his dad to send him to where his brothers are. So, taking food to them was David’s prayers being answered. All we need is an opportunity to be obedient to. I admit to have been discouraged and hurt. There are things He hasn’t removed from my mind and heart . Ways I used as coping mechanisms still kick in but now I feel terribly convicted. That conviction turns into guilt and shame that ends up feeding the self hatred for being such sinner. I am sorry! God will keep praying, praising and speaking life and freedom.
