my good man, please put your launch bays on a hotkeys, then you can launch a few and turn the bays off to not waste ammo. Remember that HE missiles will circle around the target until they hit or get destroyed.

I wonder if it's a good tactic to shut down the missile batteries when facing small enemies. Then activate one at the time to launch a single and wait for it to hit before launching another. At least if they don't have too much point defense. Also, missile battle while moving in high speed seem to result in a bunch of them chasing the enemy until it is hit once, then all catch up at once. Running around in circles at the same place may be better? Just throwing out ideas, not saying you are doing anything wrong. I haven't even played it yet.

Agreed. It's certainly worth trying to single launch and wait. Only concern is if the armour holds up :D

@@OfficialStuffPlus Or maybe launch a couple of volleys, but shut it off once youhave two or three missiles behind the enemy readjusting course to the rear of the enemy.

Fun fact the whole point of a missile is (believe it or not) they are designed to actually to be able to "miss" their target and explode near the target, if they happen to do a direct hit then great, but not required. =)

Its not that there isnt amything to mine, you need mining lasers. Not everything can be collected by hand.

Starting a ship with only mining lasers would be interesting, too.

@@david2869 They can be pretty effective at low levels, and can hide behind lots of armor. Power hungry though, you need a Med reactor to keep them running for combat.

oh my, the exposed systems on these gimmick starter ships always make me wince. I would very much expect this sort of thing to work more consistently than the railgun starter. Maybe lose a launcher for some more engine or a bit of armor?
