Here's a tip that might help: you can get rid of cards! After you get deep enough into renewables, you can trash the 20th century industry so it doesn't keep dinging you.

Cool game! I tried to speed-run it by building out MASSIVE oil industry and fracking for huge industry points at the start (like in a City Sim), thinking I can quickly convert it to other stuff, turns out that was wrong. Fun fact: once all wildlife is dead, it is hard to survive.

early on cards in industry are negative. renewable energy sounds nice, but the increase in speed is really a big negative. going from 20 emissions in 40s to 22 emissions in 27 seconds is rough.

Yeah, I had to reduce the speed on my People because it was the same speed as my Industry and I didn't notice for a few rounds.

I failed so many times because of this. You have to focus on green industry and then trash the 20th century industry as fast as possible. Like in real life i guess?
