There was a point between Rimmer going more veritably-postal (he was always a bit bipolar but very-nearly raving in the end) and Mason making her characteristic stamp as the firm-but-caring head. we remember her as today that it looked like W.R. was about to lose its sense of identity. It got better but the show definitely did lose something after Izzie and Jack left.
