1. it's a 1-3 hour flight from Spain to England depending on where in Spain and England it is, 2. that's not including a miraculous last minute booking and going through security 3. no matter how they felt, the school had a legal obligation to call social services, the children were left without supervision and the boy nearly died...they would have no choice but to call, and in not doing so, they broke the law.

Really? The main plot was the boys' rambling trip where Bolton gets trapped on a high ledge and Eddie nearly breaks his neck rescuing him, I thought it was quite fun.

Rachel is an awesome head teacher... But she was far too lenient here. The police and social services should have been involved. That mother clearly can't cope with her mistakes/choices.
