Afobe has been requesting that through ball from Neves for several games now..... I was pleased he went straight to him once he’d scored.... Excellent.

It's telling that for both of Afobe's goals the first thing he does is turn to face and acknowledge the provider. That's a very good trait to have in a striker. Also, for Afobe's first goal, when viewing the South Bank feed if you keep your eye on Neves he makes the pass and then stands still, pensive and really excited about making such a great pass which results in a goal. There's a certain player in the Premier league who does very similar, and he plays the same role for Man City - Kevin De Bruyne.
