Happy belated birthday! A little trick I used when packing for a cross country move - use a box number & room location on boxes. Then, using a loose leaf binder list everything in that box with the corresponding box number on a page. Example - box 1 is kitchen & has cooking utensils, kitchen towels, & dish liquid. The next number can be a different number location. Just be specific. The binder is in case there is little / no service for a data retrieval. Also list room names that match the boxes over the doors to speed up unloading. 4 people unloaded my entire move in about an hour with this system.

Wow -- what a month! It makes my head spin :) Moving is an adventure -- it sure has its ups and downs during the process. Been there, done that too many times in my 75 years of life! You will need some new clothes whee you are going -- they do have true winter there! Good luck in the adventure -- I'll be watching and applauding you along the way.

Thanks for the bandaid tip. I have just finished a quilt for my daughter's 18th birthday in mid June and whilst lint rolling it before wrapping, I found a tiny hole (Jack was too aggressive at one point). I haven't done anything about it, figuring that if she ever even sees it, she's gonna think she did it (hey, don't judge me😂), but I'm now thinking i may confess and add a bandaid after her birthday. Now, just need to keep an eye out for the perfect bandaid.

WOW - I can’t believe the volume of quilts that you make and put out, and each one is prettier than the other. Do you give away most of the quilts that you make? I had a suspicion that Virginia was going to be your new home, and I hope that your move goes well, and that you’ll be very happy in your new surroundings, and also that you find a good quilt guild!! I think you will be very happy with the east coast! I live in New York, out on Long Island. I tried a very brief move to Arizona, but made my way back to NY after about 5 months!!
