This MU looks like a nightmare for Luigi players. Luigi’s poor air drift and approach options plus Belmont’s incredibly safe pressure and spacing options just sounds like a tragedy waiting to happen. Kudos to Elegant for winning the first set. He definitely played his heart out

Belmonts moves are actually pretty punishable unless you hit the very end of it. It's only like -1 for Luigi, Elegant has done well in this matchup the millions n times they've fought lol

@@NVS_Snake projectiles usually don’t prevent Luigi from coming in, they prevent a way to get in. The whip is what prevents the only way that’s open to get in, and since luigi can’t really do anything from afar, he has to wait out the attacks, then the cycle restarts. That’s why in theory, this should be his worst, if not it’s like villager or another projectile character. Remember, just because a player with a specific character does well against a character who beats the other character hard (Ben gold/Samsora 2019) doesn’t mean that character now beats the other character they previously lost hard to

At 5:46 where you state he SD. He wasn't trying too. You can tell the game didn't let him grab the edge. He was right at the edge but because he made himself drop faster the game basically has the point where you sometimes won't grab the edge of the stage. You can see he would've grab the edge though.
