Leslie almost crying on the mountain about skiing was literally me on my first and last attempt at skiing (at that very same location). I was in grade school on a girl scout trip, but I have no doubt I would react the same way now, in my 30s. Skiing is scary.

Skiing is extremely counter intuitive, and without an instructor it becomes a terrifying experience rather than a fun and joyous experience.

Lol I had the same exact experience on that hill. I hated it, lost one glove and that sucked trying to get up. I’ve never boarded again, horrible day on the hill. Now I just snowbunny at the lodge and drink champagne.

I went to big bear a couple months ago for my brothers birthday and we all went snowboarding and I thought it was gonna be really difficult but you actually get the hang of it really quick. It was my first time ever snowboarding and I can’t wait to go back and try again

I love snowboarding. Have gone maybe a handful of times (I’m terrible - “falling leaf” is my technique lol it’s bad..) But I tried skiing ONE TIME and literally could not walk in them yet alone ski. I thought walking with one boot in on a snowboard was hard, hell no. Can honestly say I’ll never try to ski again.
