Wow. It's funny watching a video and knowing where all those places are. The empty backroom of the 99 Ranch Plaza used to have business there before Covid. I was in that plaza earlier this year and someone told me that a shopper was mugged not too long ago. Huy Fong Foods, the makers of sriracha, has sriracha chocolates for sale. Before Covid they had tours of their factory and you could get free samples. Their sriracha chocolate ice cream is very tasty but I prefer the sriracha vanilla ice cream because the garlic flavor is stronger.

I think you might be underestimating how long it takes to process roasted cacao into chocolate :P You have to crack the beans apart into nibs, and winnow the outer shell away. Then you have to grind the nibs with sugar for like an entire 24 hours (or more) to get it fine enough that you can finally temper it, and pour it into moulds. Would be super cool to do, and definitely something I'd like to do someday, but I do not have the right equipment yet haha.
