What year model was yours? Any major problems with it?
@alexweatherburn43903 жыл бұрын
@@ashleyparkyn9683 It was a 1993 with the 200tdi diesel, it had done 275,000 miles when I sold it. I was making my own bio diesel at the time and it ran great on it, the only problem was the bodywork was rusting but mechanically it was sound. Great cars, rugged & simple & easy to fix.

Nice to see an off-road vehicle, actually off-road. As opposed to running the kids to school in Bath.

@@wildcat6669 yes, but it was redesigned by Rover, and it was casted differently, and it has a british crank shaft, cylinder liners and fuel injection system, and i'm pretty sure the transmission isnt based on Buick's

Evelyn Deleon the Discovery 1 is just a different bodyshell on the Range Rover Classic chassis like the one in this video. Its a much overlooked vehicle that's extremely capable especially with the V8! Good luck!

bushmanpm THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPLYN, I'm a new owner of a hunter green d1 4.0 v8 ,I decided to buy the discovery a couple of days or so after this post....any advice for upgrades? I want to lift it add tires and a snorkel... Any advice is greatly appreciated
@bushmanPMRR7 жыл бұрын
Evelyn Deleon going by the use of "D1" and your spelling of tires I'm guessing you're the other side of the pond?;-) (We spell it "tyres!" but then we drive on roads and walk on pavements whereas you walk on sidewalks and drive on pavements! Hehe! Anyway, if you ARE in USA its slightly harder for parts than us Brits but the fanbase and club scene seem to be a massive help for you out there. Suspension spring-wise if you can't find dedicated D1 items there's no reason why you can't use Range Rover Classic items. Regarding the snorkel will be a bit tricky depending on the intake. If its the twin SU carburetor setup, bin that junk and get an Edelbrock intake and a four barrel carburetor but seek out people who have already done this for tips on what works best. If however you have the fuel injection, there MAY be a kit for this but remember the Range rover has the "clamshell" type bonnet, sorry, "hood";-) whereas the D1 doesn't. You may be better off making up your own one. The fuel injection is good for MPG but if you're not too fussed I'd say go Edelbrock & 4 barrel carb route but again you'd probably have to make your own snorkel up but again, speak to others who have done it and get their advice. Personally I love cars and motorbikes, I've been driving Land Rovers for 20+ years now and apart from a 1960 Impala or even better, a 1959 Cadillac, I wouldn't drive anything else. Except perhaps a Jaguar! I'm actually currently "grafting" 4x 1959 tail lights into the rear of my Triumph Speed Triple but that's another story! Good luck, you will have so much fun off reading, sorry, "wheeling" in these incredible cars, well, we have been building them for 70 years!

No tiene ni la menor idea de como conducir un todo terreno
@ViDiaz3 жыл бұрын
;-) Saludos!
