"Benzin" is the original name for the fuel that turns internal combustion engines. Americans call it gasoline - germans use the name after Karl Benz, the inventor of said engine - whomes legacy now lives on in daimler-benz cars ... The gaspump on stage is no coincidence.

It's a misconception that "Benzin" is derived from the name of Karl Benz. It is rather derived from the word "Benzol" which later was found to be chemically different from "Benzin" by chemist Justus von Liebig (cf. C6H6 "benzene" and the collective term for such hydrocarbon products "petroleum benzine" in English). The term "gasoline" ("gas" for short) is only found in North American English (and goes back to early product brands) while in British-based English the usual term is "petrol".

When I saw Rammstein live, they had a little island stage in the middle of the crowd with a suspended bridge between the main stage and the central one, some mad men helped lift a guy up on to it and he tried running over to the stage, never seen someone get tackled off a bridge so quick, its always crazy at rammstein gigs.
