I like how you touched the fuel cap I do that 2x during pre-flight, too. That way I'll remember that I checked it.

Another great video, interesting that the HLO was doing a radio check as you landed and the helicopter deck crew were all standing visible and not in the heli well out the way of FOD/downdraft. Looks like a short flight compared to us on the J6a which is at least 45min and mid way between the Nederland and the UK.

It's Amazing Chris, every new video is more and more interesting, many thanks! I had never seen the Test with an engine in Idle, I wrote the function in the simulator but I had never seen it in reality, what is the collective percentage to activate the 'engX idle' aural, 5%,8% ? It would be great to also see an OEI Training 😍. Does the CAT-A always say the Copilot with TDP/Vtoss/Vy, or do you also use the FD module with the button on the collective? It would be great to see the PFD and MFD more closely during the flight phases 🤓 Great Chris, always great videos 👍

Interesting that you do the pre-takeoff checks on the runway. Seems a bit sketchy to be in that vulnerable position for so long, with your backs to the approach end.
@helichrisPA282 ай бұрын
@@gnagyusa very good point! We do it before we enter the runway. However here we did the first flight of the day. We did the full engine power check on the runway. That’s normal at this airport. And when er have performed all checks then we report ready. I did however cut this out of the video… bit boring to watch I thought 🤗 Thanks for your good input!

Great video, love it! Especially watching you check everything everytime! One question, if I may? Why do you sit on the left, as the captain? Isn't the captain usually on the right in a helicopter, contrary to an airliner? Love your content, keep it up!
@helichrisPA284 ай бұрын
@@dr.chives thanks for your nice comment! We actually swap seats every flight. So we do not have fixed seats. But we have roles. The right hand seat is the seat that is flying. However since we land on rigs and ships, the controls are handed to the seat that has the best view on the obstacles.
