I love this channel. It's so practical and down to earth. No hype, no drama, just straight to the point reliable facts. Thank you Michael.

I find channels that block comments for arbritary reasons are doing so because they don't really believe / understand what they are selling.

batumi as my base right now, cities under 300k, convenient, close to int airport, warm winter, but not the warmest of weather year long, cities that I feel comfortable walking around, learning the locals and the language at my speed. Other cities that I stayed long enough to enjoy, budapest really surprised me, great quality of living for the price.

I think you're right about the city being more important than the country. I'm looking at SE Asia, and in Thailand Hua Hin has got my attention lately, and KL in Malaysia.

Totally it's the same with US, very different Los Angelos vs Atlanta or city in Vermont- totally different worlds really. That's why it's so funny when folks hyper focus on the entire nation and make assumptions.

In Spain the tax system can be wildly different depending on where you live - Madrid is a tax haven in comparison to much of the South and East of the country.

Guadalajara is a way under appreciated city in Mexico. Everything CDMX has but you are also close to the beaches.

Why would I mention them on the internet and then suffer a bunch of "Hooray Henrys" all turning up there? It achieves NOTHING useful.

Hello Kind Sir. I am wondering what strategy could be used if I made $250k NET Cash, and could make 1 million in retained earnings in a Canadian private small business (PSB). Since most of it is liquid, it doesn't qualify for Lifetime Capital Gains Exemption (LCGE). As soon as you file for departure tax, you need to pay a departure tax on this business right? Is this worth having a meeting with you if too much info? Your videos are amazing. My options I've researched include: 1) You can defer departure tax by filing Form T1244, * This deferral is allowed until the actual sale or disposition of the assets. 2) Keep Canadian residency and NEW residency in new country indefinitely, thus never triggering departure tax while paying myself dividend? 3) Transfer ownership of business to my brother, and have him pay me dividends? 4) Should I just bite the bullet now and move to dubai for 6 months every year, like is it even worth it to accrue this 1 million in my small business in Canada? Seems like I get screwed later on, like are there any alternatives for tax-efficiently accessing retained earnings in a CCPC?
