@@OffshoreCitizen You often mention Amazon FBA - don't Amazon withhold tax if the recipient is in a low or no-tax country? I'm an audiobook publisher so will 'suffer' at the hands of ACX/Audible. Royalties are great in Malaysia etc...but taxed at source? I think I need to repurpose my books into educational courses? Remove myself from Jeff Bezos's grasp?

@@tinglestingles depends on the type of sale. If it is royalties related then yes they do. But if you're selling products then no.

Hi. Great content. I would personally perhapa add Target Market Costs (tarif,..). Example cheaper and easier to sell within the EU if a company is EU based

Oh man, I love your content. How can I pay the least tax on my capital gains and dividends from my stock/crypto portfolio - while mostly traveling. In Germany capital gains/dividends tax can go up to 25% which is purely insane. A good tax structure is the make it or brake it for a more financially independent life.

Thanks for the compliment! In regards to your situation... Depends if you're going to remain resident in Germany. The easiest way is to shift your residency abroad. If you'd like to discuss if you can book a call www.clarity.fm/michaelrosmer and we can go over it together and I can guide you on the best solution

@Charles Busby Portugal in general doesn't tax crypto gains

Is there a possible benefit for actually paying a small amount of Capital Gains Tax (for crypto) in a low CGT jurisdiction to show any past or future tax residency - that you actually paid at least some tax? For example, Georgia has a CGT rate of 5%?

Some people feel more comfortable that way. It depends in large part on what the countries involved are and what your future plans are vs current.

Michael Rosmer: I'm trying to evaluate the info you offer in light of the strategies and tactics Andrew Henderson (Nomad Capitalist) recommends. One immediate difference is that he does NOT ask for $250.00 USD for a 30-minute phone call. Is that really necessary? Sure your time is valuable, just as much as the person reaching out to you. Could you not offer a (brief) initial phone consultation at no cost, just as most attorneys do? I am a USA citizen and resident engaged in business importing goods INTO mainland China. Doing my share to offset the trade deficit. Seeking best practices to eliminate or reduce the onerous tax burden.

Everyone has their own business model. You can't typically talk to Andrew at all without committing to much more than that. You can get on a sales call with someone who works for him. When you pay for a call with me you aren't paying for a sales call, you are getting a consultation where I solve your problems and give practical solutions. Yes, I could do free calls, I used to offer that fairly frequently but I find most people who are serious and looking for answers are willing to pay as the value they get is much more than that and $250 is a very small amount of money. If someone isn't looking for advice and the premise of a call is them purchasing something and they've got questions I don't charge them for those calls. I try to give lots of free advice here in the videos then when you want it personalized you pay. Is there a reason you don't want to pay for advice? Or is it you're not looking for advice or?
