You're a comments are very biased. I work with both Filipinos and Indians. In take example of yourself, your English skills are not very strong. If you go to the Philippines 90% of the Filipinos speak English at a very high level versus maybe only 50% of the Indians, You are an example of that. Your English skills are not very strong if I were to speak to somebody in the Philippines their English skills would be it 100 times better than yours. Also the Filipinos have cultural acclamation much higher than the Indians to the United States, Europe and Asia as they have been occupied by these countries. Philippines is the premiere destination for offshoring services with India second. The most important part about offshoring is communication in the Filipinos have that skill set way above India because of pure ability to speak English better and more importantly acclimation of cultural understanding. I have numerous clients who asked to work with Filipinos over Indians because of that cultural acclimation that the Filipinos have. You also talk about time. In silicon valley we have to get up at midnight in order to meet at 12:00 your time in India. We all hate that so time really is not an issue as the same will happen in the east coast with the Philippines. Asia is on the other side of the world of the United States so there is no real good time for anybody.

Hi Hank, thanks for taking the time to provide your thoughts. At the end of the day, both India and the Philippines are suitable places for offshoring. And based on the feedback we’ve received from clients, we put forward our thoughts: Regarding language, yes, the Philippines has an advantage as, from a younger age, they are exposed to English, particularly American English. However, India is catching up in this area. You can especially notice this when you speak to Indians living in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai and the North East. When it comes to the timings the U.S. has multiple time zones which makes it challenging to satisfy everyone. However, once again from the feedback we received it appears that the Indian time zone lines up best for the majority US accounting firm owners. Now if we’re talking about the best time option for Australians looking to outsource, then yes, the Philippines has an advantage here when it comes to timing. As an accounting offshoring firm based in India, of course we will have biases; however, we have only presented information based on facts and figures, which is reflected in our positioning. We appreciate you providing a different view on the subject and it’s only through healthy discussion that we can expand our thoughts and move the conversation ahead.
