Lyrics:
If you could only read my mind
You would know that things between us
Ain't right
I know your arms are open wide
But you're a little on the straight side
I can't lie
Your one vice
Is you're too nice
Come around now can't you see
I want you
All tattooed
I want you bad
Complete me
Mistreat me
Want you to be bad

Dude. Being a teenager in late 90s and early 2000d was the best: - CrazyTaxy, Tony Hawk Pro Skater2 & Jet Set Radio. - American Pie Movies. - The Offspring, Blink 182, and Sum41.

The first two American Pie movies had the best soundtracks ever, hands down. Nothing will ever touch 1999 and early 2000s music.....ever.

I don't want to be rude, I (try to) respect everyone's personal preferences, but when you say that "nothing will ever touch 1999 and early 2000s music...ever" as a FACT, then you don't know much about music. I suggest you to take a look at what albums came out in 1991 alone. Not the '90s in general, not the early '90s, but specifically 1991. Ok, I'll do it for you. Nirvana-Nevermind Pearl Jam - Ten Temple Of The Dog - Temple Of The Dog Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion I and II Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik R.E.M. - Out Of Time U2 - Achtung Baby Pixies-Trompe Le Monde The Smashing Pumpkins - Gish Metallica - Metallica (aka The Black Album) Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears And that's just a sample, there's lots of others. All in 1991. Add to them, all the other countless great albums that came out until 1995 at least. And you say that NOTHING WILL EVER TOUCH the late '90s - early '00s rock? You're completely clueless. Cheers. p.s.: You seem of a certain age from your profile pic (I mean you don't look like you were born in 2000 or something). So you should know better. (Unless it's not you but some rock musician that I don't know of, so ok!)

@Dreamcatcher9000
@Dreamcatcher9000 2 ай бұрын
@@DaveBill-te6we Yes, everyone's personal preferences are based on the type of music they like and when they grew up (although this is not absolute, because for example I grew up in the '80s but I understand that the '60s were a most important decade for rock -and not only, of course-), but this dude here said that "The first two American Pie movies had the best soundtracks ever, hands down" as an undisputed fact, and "Nothing will ever touch 1999 and early 2000s music.....ever", also as a fact, not as a personal preference. And I ask, if someone has listened to the albums that I mentioned (and not only of course, dozens of others as well), and says that "Conspiracy of One" is a much better album than them "hands down , and nothing will ever touch it", then it's a fact that this person is clueless about rock music, regardless of their age.

TheGuyWithABrokenGun This song was made in 2000 and I was just pointing out that this song sounds like a lot of the Pop Punk that those kind of people listened to (And I listen to that kind of stuff so I'm kind of an idiot for saying that). I know The Offspring usually doesn't sound like that but this sure does

The Conspiracy of One album was pretty much Americana Part 2 but didn't seem to catch on as much as that one did. Songs like this really capture the cool feeling of 90s and early 2000s skater pop punk culture...I miss that.

Fraggr92 Yeah I think Splinter (03) and Rise & Fall (08) were like not as good as their 90s material, but still pretty good.. but I agree there's nothing memorable on Days Go By. I don't know if they just got older or lost touch, but it was a disappointment.

+Fraggr92 Fair enough, I haven't properly paid attention to it, but my gf plays it every now and then. She's more a fan than me. I did go to their show a few years ago, for nostalgia's sake. They played the whole Ignition album and a selection of other tracks, including my fav (All I Want).

+JPMcFly1985Two This whole culture died after 9/11. Sadly, there was never place again for such a laid back, not politically correct, but also kind of self-centered way of living. Although I do think The Offspring was a little bit above all of that, despite this song being the epitome of such style. Funny thing is, some things of pop culture got even more intense with the years, like barbie dolls singers turning into sluts, haha.

This song, like others by the band, is unforgettable. Offspring, for me, is one of the greatest bands of all time. I can't help but praise the two beautiful models that appear, one at the beginning of the clip, the first to be approached by the guy and the last. They are two of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in a clip, especially the first one. Regarding the last one, she appears in clips from other bands as well, such as Linkin Park (Crawling) and Deftones (Change).

Blink, Offspring, Sum 41, PS1, N64, demo discs from gaming magazines, long summers, no responsibilities, dang. I really see why people used to say ''back in my day it was better''...living it now.
