Hello Matt great truck. I was the assistant ranch forman for 8 yrs back when the GRR was running full bore from 1994-2002. Man I'm sure glad that you have taken in the potential beauty of the place. It is truly ashame what the previous owner let happen to the property. If you ever want to see what the ranch looked like back in my time I was there let me know. We have a bunch of pictures and some were taken that show what the main house that burned down looked like. My wife and I dedicated much of our time there. It actually was a family thing with us, our 3 kids grew up there 2 of them were long time employees of the previous owners. Let me know if we can assist you in anyway as between the wife and I we have extensive knowledge of the ranch.

While the river is low, it would be a great time to put in some concrete steps to allow access to the river when it is at normal level. That would help enhance the camping experience since that bank is rather steep. I know... it's not like you are not busy already with the resort... just thought you could take advantage of the situation.

It's also irrigation season, so water could be diverted upstream of your property legally (or illegally). You could always send the drone up at the edge of the property upriver and see any potential reasons besides drought. With illegal grow operations everywhere its worth looking into at some point.

We've seen it plenty in our area. Water management isn't always great and farmers on the downstream end get nothing. Between people illegally tapping into irrigation to others using more water than they are supposed to, resources become scarce. Crops die, crop claims ensue, and good people trying to make a living farming have another hard year with thousands invested and pennies returned by crop insurance.

All I can think of is that the well pump draws water either directly from the river or from an aquifer that the river feeds into. This is quite interesting. It could be due to rain, the well pump, or both. Since you filled up the pond, and a day or days later the river was dried up, it seems as if they are connected.

I work at KTP (Kentucky Truck Plant) building the Expeditions and Navigators and my guy builds the Super duties so there’s a 1/3 chance he built all of yours. My 17 f250 has the max tow package , (3” receiver ,f350. Rear and springs ) with Timbren bumpers on the suspension I tow equipment and big gooseneck trailers and it handles the load incredibly! I recently found out about these 6.7 powerstrokes having an issue with their cp4 pumps failing and it being a $10k repair . So look into getting the replacement pump kit from s&s diesel . Its like $3k

I'm so far behind the times on these newer trucks. A guy should be able to build that tranny to hold mild power upgrades and tow since they've been out for a while. The Allison isn't guaranteed either. Built autos are the way to go but damn are they spendy. But if you want reliability and don't have the knowledge or tools to DIY a solid trans, give up five grand and it'll get the job done for a time to be determined. These days it seems like a dice game for what catastrophically fails first.

I have a 2020 F350 SRW. I pull a 21k 5th wheel toy hauler with it. Airbags made a huge difference in the stability of the load. Highly recommend.

No bubbles on decals: Get an old spray bottle, put some water and dish washing detergent in it, about as strong as you'd wash dishes with. Spray both the surface and the sticky side of the decal with it so it's wet. Put it on, line it up (it'll slide), wipe out bubbles with a cloth. Leave it for 1/2hr and take off backing paper. No bubbles and perfectly straight every time. Does not affect long term stickiness or durability of decal. 🤠👍

Matt on this video: It's been insanely hot and no rain for weeks and the river on the property down the hill from the pond is drying up. Stay with springs for a work truck. Bags can have problems. Springs just work. I run them on my 350 SRW and it's not a work truck. I love them. They hold up my truck camper great, and when I pull my dump trailer it's nice to have the extra support too. And I don;'t have to worry about blowing a bag.
