Hey it's possible!! I had a friend that picked up a brand new half million dollar yacht for 80k. Folks bought it. Brought it home. Left the fish door open. Tide came in. Boat went down. He bought it at the dock from the insurance company. Refloated it. Had it towed to a yard. Pulled it out of the water. Dried it out, drained and changed the oil. New batteries and stuff. Now if it was the Coast Guard then yes when they suspect a crime has/is being committed such as smuggling/trafficking but generally they would not be rude as to just come on to the boat as they would wait to be invited if no crime has been committed. The problem is it's the sheriffs department and they are generally the source problem in law enforcement, They think they get to do as they please whenever they please and if anybody crosses them they bully and harass you until you either leave or do something to protect yourself so they can use it to arrest you. With everything going on now days I would have had a gun at the ready and not invited them on to the boat and if they forced it I would have considered it an attack on me and the family and put them down.
